All go today. The lorry arrived in at 7.30 to collect the 40 store bullocks for the sale at St Boswells. The usual cry on getting the lorry into place to load, then the cattle themselves were dour to load. The lorry was nearly new with electric gear box which caused problems getting up the hill loaded, and seemingly new lorries don't come with a tow hook any more. Ended up with 2 bales on the loader tractor pushing him from behind!
Put this blk plus a mate into the show, but no tickets today. The average for them all was £83 less each than last year for the same weight. Wish all the costs had come down too ! It has taken them 18 months growing to get to sale.
At least I got a good feed in the canteen after.
