Texere
One of the great things about doing a weaving course in Bradford is that you get to go to Texere yarns. I tried to restrain myself but ended up getting some mad shiny yarns to go with my warp for my project. The place is huge and has a great range of yarns and it was fun diving about and seeing what was there. Back in the classroom I spent the day warping up my loom and finally got it done at home time. We also had a visit from Jim Laycock who sells mill ends of yarn and there may be a bit of silk coming back up north with me.
In the evening we had a skill sharing session and some fun back at the halls. I had a go on a turkish drop spindle and was surprised how easy it was and I now need to get one.
