Steppe Eagle(Aquila nipalensis)

My first encounter with the birds of Salalah and what a bird! This magnificent Steppe Eagle was at the side of a Khor, looking at the largest flock of Flamingo I have seen in Oman. He let me come quite close and looked at me with a very disdainful look, but then he can with his emense size, wicked beak and sharp talons!
The extra is the view from our penthouse suite-which sounds far more glamorous than it actually is-but it is clean and has everything you want and need including a view to die for!
