Bee
Bee close-up taken in the garden. Remember very many years ago as a child going to the blacksmith's in Ramsbottom. Can't imagine why I would need to go there and can't bring the location to mind except after a look on the internet I think it must have been the one in Paradise Street - I can only remember it as being very central. The only reason I remember is that he was shoeing a horse and made some remark about which end it was best to stand at. I know it struck me as funny but as far as I am concerned the only place to stand where horses are concerned is as far away as possible. So as the smithy was not all that big I'm sure I must have been pretty nervous. Anyway the business end of a bee is the sting at the back. This is the front end but it looks pretty fearsome - so if the bee was horse-sized I'm not sure what end I'd like to stand at.
