Duckies

Tremendous torrential rain in the early hours led me to go down to river Ness before lunch. The river was high and fast-flowing but no flooding apart from the very tip of the islands and the mill race was much fuller than usual. Rather than the general view of the Islands that I had in mind I took this picture of a bunch of ducklings being carefully herded by mother to keep close to the bank. In spite of the strong current they managed to keep together.
