Heavy industry

I'm guessing this is a familiar and quite depressing sight repeated all over Britain. We've trashed our heavy industrial base, engineering and manufacturing in the pursuit of purely "knowledge economy", finance and shopping.

As Gore Vidal once said "you can't have an economy based on opening doors for each other".
