oddness

there was sunshine at lunchtime, tho i was too lazy to go outside (also, still in my pjs). there were also cool shadows on my living room walls for a while, which i snapped on the offchance i took nothing else today and needed a blip. and while the latter is true (apart from some random shots in the office tonight), looking at this one i'd have posted it anyway, i think it's pretty cool.

what's really cool is that it's the shadow of tiny black and red feathers strung along my mantelpiece and yet there is a white one appears here, thanks to the angles of the shadows. peace or cowardice? no idea - but it's pretty.

progress? i think so: brief chat after edition in which we were at ease enough that when i mentioned the big forthcoming issue i wasn't met with the drawbridge slamming down and waves of stress. maybe he's just accepting of said big issue more than before, but maybe it means there's hope for more than civility.
