70th birthday

Spent a wonderful lunch and afternoon with 30 or so other people celebrating a very good friend's 70th birthday.

Her partner organised this surprise gathering for her at a very smart restaurant. We were all assembled before her arrival, with a glass of champagne to toast her entry. The look of astonishment and joy on her face was a sight to remember. And i didnt blip it.

Lovely to catch up with old friends. Some we hadnt seen for many years.

Lovely meal with lots of good wine and champagne. Now looking forward to our chips night.
