Globe thistles

Oops...I set my alarm just on the unlikely chance I might sleep through the sunrise and then forgot it. Blissfully gadding round the garden with the camera, I was unaware of the trauma ensuing with No 1 husband as he tried in vain to turn off the wrong alarm clock thinking it had been triggered by one of our frequent power cuts!

According to yahoo Tuesday allegedly promised to be sunny so I guessed/hoped it would also be a lovely sunrise; it was - deep and vibrant but all too brief. There was an almost ethereal quality and for a moment....just a moment.... it flooded the sky, garden, fields and house with stunning colour. Totally fabulous!
Not so my enlightenment when I returned indoors.
