Come on mum!
We had sun today! Ok, a brief bit of torrential rain around lunchtime, but mainly sun.
How horrible that we lose an hour. I won't dwell on all the things I could have done in that hour, it will only upset me! I hate it that we have that kind of rule imposed on us. It isn't as if we can rebel, and not change the hour.
Lucky me got a cup of tea brought to me in bed this morning by the lovely Mollie. She also delivered my egg, (which she has been hiding in her wardrobe), on Jon's behalf because he is still away camping.
After the Archers omnibus I took the dogs out. I have to confess something. Yesterday while out with the dogs, I spent a lot of time taking photos; at one point I hung the full dog bags on a branch in order to get better pictures without my hand full. It wasn't until I got home and went to the bin, that I realised I'd left the bags hanging on the branch! Whoops. So today we did the same circuitous route backwards, where I successfully collected yesterdays bags. Lucky dogs got quite a nice long walk in the sun.
I am attaching a couple of portrait photos of my canine companions as the extra photos. Plus a third photo of Bracken looking just like a womble. When I said to Mollie, don't you think he looks like a womble, she had to google 'womble' to see what one looked like!! I feel old.
Back home at 11.30 (felt more like 10.30, but I won't go on about it) I had coffee, then took my plain grey cardi, £6 from Primark, plus colourful buttons, cotton and scissors, down to the summerhouse. I removed the plain grey buttons and replaced them with multicoloured dotty buttons (a bit like me) and hey presto, no longer boring Primark, more like jazzy White Stuff!
We were invited next door for dinner at 2.30 where we enjoyed a civilised tasty meal, followed by the exciting win for Cambridge in the boat race. I hope this change of fortune for the Cambridge rowing team extends to all Cambridge....and ex Cambridge residents!
Since dinner, I don't think I've done anything significant. I looked through my car boot stuff to see if there is anything I can try selling on eBay. Car boot stuff is in the loft of the garage. Lots of boxes all piled up on top of each other. Not sure where to start. There is a car boot sale in the village next Sunday. I'll have another look next Saturday.
So a bit of ironing done while Mollie cooked tea, and I listened to tonight's Archers. That soap is the talk of the town at the moment. I can't say I'm enjoying it.
The evening has been spent in front of the tv. I've got boxes all around me, and things half done. I have some serious tidying up to do before the boys get back tomorrow.
Happy Easter everyone.
