The devil is in the detail

Another reference to diy/decorating. First coat of emulsion on the walls this morning and second coat will go on this afternoon. It doesn't take long, makes a huge difference but the amount of preparation beggars belief. These wall are 60+ years old and I've had to fill them, sand them, fill them again, sand them again and on and on. Of course as soon as you slap a bit of emulsion on all of the imperfections that you missed stand out like a sore thumb. Need to maintain a perspective though - yes, I know they are there but they really don't look that bad ......... if you turn the lights off, stand back and squint.
