Bright young thing

This little Bellis is about the only brightness there has been today!!! We bought a tray of them earlier in the week and planted them in one the back garden beds. So here you have it, today's blip.

Only a quick walk to the local newsagents this morning, in the drizzle and wind, had to wear a hat, too windy for a brolly!!

Once back home, I set about preparing most of the dinner and dessert for later on, as we were going to mums after lunch. It's easier to prep everything at home ;-) I part cooked a leg of pork, with garlic and thyme. Peeled the carrots and potatoes, topped and tailed the sugar snap peas. Made the onion gravy and an apple and blackberry fruit crumble. Stacked everything into a box and loaded it into the car.

We had not had breakfast so it was brunch, pork sausages and fried egg in a baguette ;-)

Mum was her usual happy self, chattering on, going over the same old things time and time again :-) hub was watching the 20/20 cricket which she didnt understand at all........they managed a win, just!!

I finished off the crackling and roasted the potatoes at mums........there wasn't anything left, so I think she enjoyed it ;-) likewise the dessert........

By the time we got back home it was gone 8 so we quickly unpacked everything and put the TV on to see how England were doing in the friendly football match v German. It's an entertaining game for a friendly, for a change.
