On a beautiful day, such as we've had today, there is nowhere on Earth I'd rather be than in my potager. It's fenced because Kit the labrador is a thief and would gleefully help herself to whatever's ripe. Strawberries are a favourite. She was allowed in with me today and I was mildly surprised to hear her crunching on carrots when I thought I'd picked the last.
