Good Friday Parade

A beautiful start to the day, with the wind picking up and making it quite chilly late afternoon and evening.

This morning we went for a walk through the Natural Park and along the beach heading in the direction of Roquetas de Mar.   I committed the second cardinal sin of Blipping - after four shots my battery ran down!   Another lesson learned!

However, we had a great walk, about an hour in and then back, calling for a coffee in Paco Flamingo.   It was great, breezy on the beach and then, only 100 metres inland much less so and very warm.   Great to see people about, taking advantage of the good weather.

This evening we went to El Ejido to watch the Procession, taking the figure of Christ on the Cross around the streets.   You can see them dressed in their 'Chapter' colours heading the Procession.   The extra is of the very modern church Parroquia de Santa Maria de la Paz (St Mary of the Peace).   Alan has sung there twice with the Choir and says it is lovely inside.

It is just a local Parish Church but there were thousands there.   I did not have too good a vantage point and most of my pictures were rubbish!
