Love is...

We recently received a beautiful gift for Joshua from a couple of elderly sisters who attend our church at home and used to help lead the Sunday School when I was young. They sent us a gorgeous cushion which they had bought from their own annual sale, held every Christmas to raise money for the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. It is covered in lovely pictures and phrases taken from 1 Corinthians 13, that very famous Bible passage which describes love, and while he was taking an afternoon nap I photographed him sleeping on his new cushion so these lovely and thoughtful Christian ladies could see him getting some use out of it already. I'd taken some other photos earlier to use as my final blip of the week, but somehow couldn't get the light right; when I put this one on the computer I loved it and wanted to share the sentiment with you all.

We want to bring Joshy up in a home surrounded by God's love and to model to him that love is patient, kind and everlasting. Jill and Mavis's beautiful gift will hopefully remind us every day to do that as often as we can.
