Duck for Dinner?

Actually not tonight but in honour of our non-trip to visit our friends in France I bought duck breasts today for tomorrow's dinner. It's probably a good thing that Albi failed to catch one. I know what to do with the ones bought from the butcher.

Amazing blue skies and gorgeously sunny day so this morning Carlos and I took Albi for a long walk along the river. We were a little nervous to let her off as last time it took far too long and required the calling in of reinforcements to persuade her to end party time on the river bank. Fortunately she redeemed herself with being quite extraordinarily well behaved.

Carlos was so inspired by all the runners along the river bank he headed straight back out to do the same.

J's had an okay day. We are aiming for one thing a day and the whole pack made it to the park this afternoon to throw a ball around for the mutt. He was very tired when we got back but worth it for the Vit D boost if nothing else.

It is worthy of note that Carl and I enjoyed a read of the papers and cocktail hour in the sunshine, in the garden, listening to parakeets.
