Kayaking, Abel Tasman

I'm back-blipping odd pictures while I wait for the storm to abate!

We had a wonderful sunny two day kayaking and walking trip in the Abel Tasman NP. Our friend Ailie flew in from north island to join us. Our Aquataxi Whizzed us along to a beach near Tonga Island where we got our kayaks. We paddled out to the island to see tiny baby seals, then spent and enjoyable day paddling along the beautiful coast. We spent the night at Aquapackers - an experience! I hadn't realised the dorm would be so many bunks in such a confined dark space with a vertical ladder at the other end to get out. I felt claustrophobic just seeing where we were to sleep so asked if I could sleep on deck!
