Clinton Lake

We drove out to the lake this afternoon. It has been very windy indeed and there were white caps on the water. You can see the road on top of the dam with three cars on it. All the lakes in Kansas are artificial and used both for recreation and as a source of water for cities. We who live outside the city buy water from the rural districts who in turn by water from the city.
The extra shows the sluice gate where the outlet is controlled. In the distance our water tower is just visible.
