Life from city to village

Wier

Such a busy, but unexpectedly amazing day.
Palm Sunday, and beautiful blue skies, plus the blossom is out in the churchyard.
Then took my daughter out for her art project - urban landscapes - so she could photograph buildings and textures. We went for lunch at a new cafe, although neither of us were overly keen on the taste. A bit of a triumph of style over substance...
Then went for a walk with a friend and her dog, around a park and then along the canal. The sky had clouded over, but there were some great sights. This was further along the canal than where I usually go - out to one of the villages. This was a weir taking water away from the canal, down to the river below - and it was in full flow. My friend is on the bridge above. I'd scrambled down by the weir to get the shot. The sun was just peeping through the clouds at the time.
