Life from city to village

Castleton Mill

This morning, after dropping off my youngest, my eldest and I walked 7.4 km along the canal and back. The skies were a dull grey, and there was a touch of wind, which meant the waters weren't quite still in many places. Still, the path was reasonably busy with walkers, runners and cyclists. It was good having my son with me, quite apart from the conversation, as it meant I felt more confident to explore some parts I hadn't yet been to. When we got back there was time for a treat, so I took him to a small cafe I've discovered which makes the biggest sausage sandwiches I think I've ever seen. He was hugely impressed!
