Dog to the left of me, cat to the right ........

.............  here I am, stuck in the middle with you!

Woken abruptly at 06.00 by the racket of Pfindlay seeing off a large and beautiful cat.  By 10.00  I was outdoors with my buddy here who was very suspicious of me now there was no window between us.  To one side was a yappy little dog letting rip, a distraction;  then I spotted in the long grass of  the field, The Cat, doing that prowling thing and getting closer.  I know the 'nature red in tooth etc" stuff but I intervened and stood at the fence arms aggressively akimbo, so that the cat (must check the breed) raced away.

I suspect the match has been postponed rather than cancelled.  Oh dear!
