YOYP... and a surprise...

A fantastic morning spent with the Year of Young People 2018, where the youth planning group presented their recommendation to the Minister for Children and Young People Aileen Campbell on what the themes and focus of the year should be.

They were so brilliant - sharing both the findings from their months of hard work and engagement and also their story of how they worked together as a group. We're so incredibly proud of them - they have produced a powerful report and recommendations which will see Scotland leading the way in celebrating the contribution young people make.

Tonight it was off to Glasgow for the Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland Awards. I was pretty stunned to hear my name announced as the winner of the Female Director of the Year!...! Still am to be honest - an incredible honour and I've been so overwhelmed by all the kind messages from people.
