Prevention

We really love the squirrels that we have here. And don't mind feeding them. But we are tired of them getting into the birdfeeder and eating all the bird seed!! They particularly like the sunflower seeds.

R went out and bought this squirrel 'cone' in hopes that it keeps them out of the feeder.

Update: After watching this of a day we saw that they couldn't get past it climbing the pole. However, they are quite clever and jumped from the nearby tree into it!! So, now R has moved the feeder further from the tree and we shall see what happens!
