Wells

A grey and slightly drizzly trip down to the South West today and surprisingly pretty cold too even down here, though I notice the Magnolias are in flower.

We met daughter Grace in Cheddar where she works and then headed to Wells for a quick look around, a drink and then something to eat. We didn't go into the cathedral but I have done on previous occasions and it is beautiful. I liked the way this gate was framing the magnificent building.

We also found a wonderful haberdashery shop called Sew Vintage. I have been looking for some ribbon for some repair work for our altar cloths at church and she had a great selection as well as fabulous wools and Liberty fabric. Will definitely be coming back here!

After a super Italian meal in Wells, Chris dropped us back at King's Theatre at Grace's school in Cheddar where we watched 'The Lady in the Van'. Splendid.

A super afternoon and evening and a Bristol day to come.
