A Rose

The Edinburgh Independents Beer Festival was officially over but there was one more day of beer at the Holyrood 9a, for those that managed to visit all 8 pubs and get a stamp on their card at each there was a raffle draw. Holyrood 9a had a selection of beers from all the breweries (am not sure if the selection was planned or just what was left over from the past three days).

After all the hard work I did visiting all 8 pubs across the city and drinking a selection of beers in each I thought I should make an appearance at Holyrood 9a and add my card to the raffle draw. There was three prizes in the draw, and imagine my delight when the first card drawn (for third prize) had my name on it :-) For my efforts I won a case of Redchurch Hackney Gold, 24 bottles of Amber Ale :-)

As the weather was rather dull and a bit drizzly, I thought I'd snap this picture as I left my flat in case I didn't see anything else of interest during the rest of the day in the pub.
