Unexpected!

A few weeks ago there was some discussion about us going to Edinburgh to see kakkatkat's Finnish holiday pics. She was hoping to see the Aurora Borealis and photograph it. She had planned a surprise holiday to celebrate her and her partner being together for 10 years. G knew he was going on a winter holiday, but not where.

She phoned me last week before she set off feeling really tired and disappointed that every day would be overcast. The result of the conversation was that we wouldn't go to see them.

Last night she rang up and said she'd love to see us today, so that was it! We packed a bag and set off early this morning, looked at her holiday pics and went out to the Caley Sample Room for a lovely meal, paid for by her. Thank you, Kat.

I chose this blip because, although we usually park the car beside the canal and have a look for a shot, I have only ever seen a couple of canal boats travelling along the Union canal. This is The Lochrin Belle a Re-Union, broadbeam boat to hire for unusual day events.
