THAT TIME OF YEAR
Happy St. Patrick's Day !
Once again it is the day to run the oldest flat horse race in the England - The Kiplingcotes Derby. The course covers four miles, steep in places and very muddy. I have Blipped this in the past. Twelve horses entered this year. This was the 495th Derby and was won by horse number 4, called Mr P, and ridden by Sam Osborne.
She is seen here at the finish line at Londsbrough Wold Farm near the village of Warter, East Yorkshire. My extra images show the course condition and Sam receiving her magnificent trophy.
Thank you so much for all your support for my shots yesterday. Very much appreciated.
