Harvesting the maize

We had a phone call this morning advising that the contractor was back in town, and they would like to start cutting our maize at 1pm. Here they are with a trailer load about to go off to be dumped in the pit. It was all completed 4 hours later. Boy that combine harvester can move!

Farmerboy and the boys are down at the pit covering it, and dumping all the tyres on it. It's a horrid job - luckily I'm on tea making duties.
