Lost its marbles

I mentioned the ornate nature of our hotel. This is one of three lobbies - all of which are pretty similar, as are the bars, restaurants and rooms. all very odd.
First day today in the Wellington College Shanghai which has been fascinating. with a snapshot last May it is interesting to see the changes.
Our evening meal was in a restaurant, the Grape, that was set up to provide Chinese food as westerners expect it and it did as it said on the tin.
No chicken feet, no sea cucumber and no frogs. Could have had Chicken Gizzard Stew though. Funnily enough we didn't.
