A loooong day ..

I got up stupidly early to give myself plenty of time for the long drive to my rehearsal and concert.

I mostly play a baroque bassoon - and our role is normally to play the bass line along with several other instruments. Occasionally we have an obbligato part - and very occasionally there will be two bassoons - but usually we're singletons.

So THREE bassoons in a concert is a very rare and lovely thing indeed.
