Situation Vacant

Well we’ve been busy here at Blipfuture for what feels like forever.  Since taking over the site we’ve removed the Polaroid branding from the site, reverted back to the original web address for Blipfoto and the update to the Android App was rolled out last week.  The iOS App will be updated shortly.  Lots of other things are happening including moving the assets of the former company into our control and setting up all of the business processes needed to run the Company.
 
Inevitably, our focus has been on these priorities; we don’t have the workforce of the previous Blipfoto team and all of this has to be squeezed in around our normal working lives.  So we have decided we need to recruit another Director, to join the Blipfuture board as a first step to reaching out for volunteers to support the activities on Blipfoto.
 
The Community Director will co-ordinate community engagement on Blipfoto.  This will include volunteers, as well as community events and activities.  They will join the board of Blipfuture and will take on all of the duties and responsibilities of a Company Director.
 
The Community Director will need to be willing to commit considerable effort to the role, including being available for skype meetings and participating in regular discussions concerning the operation of the site.    The board works highly collaboratively, and all directors expect to contribute to community engagement.
 
The board largely operates using electronic communications including e-mail, SharePoint and Skype.  The board will meet face-to-face a few times a year, but if travel is impractical for individual directors from time to time they may join these meetings electronically.  As with all of the other directors this is a voluntary position with no remuneration.
