spirit of flight
walked up to the loch for some fresh air and to see if I could get some interesting photos of fishing lines for a blip challenge. no joy, all the photos were a bit boring. this sculpture/installation is called 'Spirit of Flight' and commemorates the first air show in Scotland, held at Lanark Racecourse in August 1910. it was installed at the entrance to Lanark Loch in 2010 to celebrate the centenary.
home to the smell of beef casserole, slowly simmering away in the oven. casserole in July? I know - but we can eat it any time. and because I got a red cabbage going cheap, we are having braised red cabbage with apples with it. could be Christmas!!! (soon will be!)
