Spring colour
Went for our first real bike ride of the year after breakfast. It was a bit cool when we were not in the sun, but otherwise was glorious. We managed an average of 22.1 km/h over 44 km with a maximum of 53.5 km/h, which isn't bad as we've so far only gone for short bike rides this year and not had as much exercise as we would like because of other things getting in the way.
After a couple of mugs of tea I went out into the garden to take a few pictures. Today's blip is a crocus, they haven't liked the cold and the wet but today were looking a lot happier in the sun - there were even a few bee flies out pollinating.
I've also added some extra pictures, there is another crocus shot and two apple trees that we grafted last year. One is a simple but not super reliable V-graft, the other is the harder to do but more reliable whip graft. Last year the fruit tree bit managed to grow quite well, so this year they should put on some proper growth and be ready to be planted somewhere. The apples are part of a local Incredible Edible/Community Orchard effort we are part of, so they will be fed back into the community somewhere for everyone to benefit.
