Curious

There was low cloud over Mt Cook as we left this morning and followed the Glacier Highway to Hokitika and along the coast to Greymouth. We followed forests and crossed glaciated valleys and wondered at the fortitude of early settlers. At our lunch stop this chap popped out of the woodland in search of his lunch but he was very timid and darted into the undergrowth on hearing the slightest noise. This area is famous for its jade and gold mines.
Thank you for your wonderfully kind comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's blip!
