Fish
Fresh fish three times a week? That must keep the sculptors very busy...

Our prayers for it not to be raining when we struck camp this morning were answered. It was a cloudless start to the day (which meant there was a heavy overnight dew and the tent was wet anyway...).
Anyway, having stuffed all the worms back into the can we drove the can to Goodrich Castle for opening time. It's an impressive castle; ruined (during the English civil war) but sufficiently intact you can see the structure of it all, and see how it evolved.
After castle and cake we drove on to Ross-on-Wye, a small market town on the way home. An odd place, suffering desperately with traffic problems as the only route North-South is through its narrow streets. Scattered throughout the town are bits of historic walls and buildings, curiously integrated into the modern structures. There were various sculptures dotted around - some better than others (the 'flying robot ducks' didn't do anything for us) but the juxtaposition of these fish and the pub sign was too irresistible.

After lunch we headed on to Oxford and A. A's condition is improving but the cocktail of drugs is causing it's own problems.
Then on to home, and the extremely welcome comfort of a bed.
