Old gun searchlight emplacement on the South Sutor, at the mouth of the Cromarty Firth.
Finally broke the duck. The sea kayak had its first outing in over two and half years. An early challenge after cutting through the Cromarty harbour, was the confused lumpy water at the harbour's mouth, where tidal flows and wind blown waves mixed. Fortunately passed through that lot without issue... especially with a couple watching from the harbour wall.
Uploaded extra photos all failed to appear... again. So some links:
- interesting rock (...IMHO);
- from on top of that rock, and next to the gun emplacement - North West, and South East.
