Monarch butterflies

As a child l used to grow swan plants and wait for the monarch butterflies to arrive, lay their eggs and watch the caterpillars turn to chrysalis and then to monarchs. There are not so many about now as the paper wasps are eating them.
I spied these two beauties today on the dahlia flowers. They were hard to see as they and the flowers are both a similar colour.
