Moving on

The nuc I adopted at the University had a hard time during the sustained rainy weather. Most of the bees survived, but not the queen, unfortunately, and so the University Beekeeper has moved me on to a hive and hopefully the bees in the nuc will create a new queen.

The title of this blip is also for the bees in the hive on the left. They were in a double hive, above the one on the right. They've been moved close enough for the bees to find their new situation, but just far enough away, so that they won't look for the upper part of the old hive. the more I learn about beekeeping, the more fascinating it is!
