Last summers leftovers

A dry day, but chilly though!
We've been over to youngest and his wife's today.

We all had lunch, then it was decided that as they were shattered after working hard in their garden for the last couple of days, that they would go to the eye hospital for his appointment and we stayed behind to continue the garden work.

We shovelled a ton of very damp and heavy sand, half a dozen borrows for hub, I raked and levelled, then we swapped....took us two hours to move the whole tonne. There are still 3 tonnes of golden coloured stones that will go down on top of the sand, to give their garden an even section, for when they get their new shed.

It wasn't particularly good new at the hospital....his pressures have gone up again, so he has to go back on the third lot of drops that were stopped after last appointment. He was really disappointed, as he was hoping it had stabilised and that he could go back to work....he's been off for six weeks. His consultant has signed him off for another six :-(

Not had much chance for photograph today, a quick garden blip of this little diascia from last year, which has started to flower again!!!

A very quick egg and chips for tea tonight before rushing for a shower, then off to the quiz again!!!
