Filling a Shop Window

Exceptionally heavy rain today. The flood alarms went off for the Black Brook running through Shepshed.

I managed to go to Leicester on my own this afternoon, sans Basil, which meant I could go into shops and shopping centres, and enjoy a gluten free muffin at Muffin Break. 

This colourful collage adorned the frontage of the Highcross Shopping Centre on Leicester High Street. I've added an extra photo of the dark dankness that was Leicester.

Travelling over Charnwood Forest, I encountered flooding halfway up Beacon Hill. Water had accumulated in the neighbouring field and was spilling over the road. Joe Moore's Lane was also affected.
