Diary of an Edinburgher

Knee news is good news

As I got out of bed this morning, I noticed a slight, almost imperceptible change in my knee. I normally have to keep my leg straight and kind of edge carefully off the bed - awkward when there's a wee dog jumping around trying to lick my feet and being silly. But I do notice a slight improvement!! Almost two weeks after the operation, so yes, I was being too pathetic, expecting it to be better immediately. It's still stiff, but I can put my weight on it now, so I'm confident it will only improve now. Phew!

Julie came to take Archie out this morning. I told him she was coming, but five minutes of trembling with excitement at the window is such a long time in a wee dog's life. No wonder he just about knocked her over when she did come in.

Popped up to the nurse to get my stitches out and blood checked. And to cheerfully hand in my unused syringes to the chemist to dispose of. They didn't seem too delighted to have them, actually.

I've just been out again this evening to take Archie round the block and to test the knee. All good. We spied Rufus and his mum at the window, so we popped in for a catch up. Rufus is very excited about Archie's birthday party!

I shared a tiny bit of my favourite snack lunch with Archie -apple and cheese. He goes crazy for both these things. So do I.
