Life through the lens...

By ValC

Wild and windy Wednesday.

Gale force winds, whipping up the sea into a frenzy .
We just love it!
As the wind was coming from the North West we went over to Botallack. ( see map)
On the way we called at St Just to pick up two pasties for our lunch.
Parked in the National Trust car park, the plan was to walk down to the Crown's Mine as we usually do.
However when we got out of the car we soon realised the wind was so strong it would be foolish to attempt going down the cliff path.
So we just walked part way.
I had to sit down to take photos. Even then I could hardly keep the camera still, and the spray from the waves was blowing up the cliffs.
I almost crawled back to the car on my hands and knees the wind was so strong.
Quite scary.
( see extra photo)
After eating our pasties, we went down to Sennen Cove. The tide was out, but it was great to see the waves rolling in.
My blip was taken there.
I think that high tide late afternoon will be very spectacular.

Back to the South coast, and a walk along Perranuthnoe beach. The sun making the sea sparkle. Waves not guite so big here.
Finished off at Porthleven, on the South coast.
Still very windy, but waves not quite so big.
Decided to warm up in Naughty But Nice, and have a cream tea.
Another lovely day here in Cornwall.

( Thanks so much for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts over the last few days, which put some of my blips on the popular pages.)
