Atlas...

One of my favourite entrances to any building in Manchester. Huge bronze doors set in glass in a Portland stone tower on King Street. Atlas, one of the Ancient Greek Titans is on one knee, carrying the weight of the world. The building is called Atlas Chambers of course. Next door is Ship Canal House. Look at the roof and another Greek deity looms above you. It is Neptune emphasising Manchester's link to the sea through the canal. His trident doubles up as a lightening conductor apparently.
