Friends Reunited

My best friend from school, Catherine, visited us today. She is married to a vicar and lives in Morecambe, which is much nearer than London (where they lived until this summer) but far enough away to mean we don't get to see each other often enough, so it was a real treat to have her here today. I had made big plans for us to go and gather Christmas holly in a nearby village, but predictably there was just too much to catch up on so we spent a lovely afternoon drinking tea, eating cake and enjoying good conversation. It was the first time she had seen Joshua, with whom she shares an October birthday, so it was obviously very important to record their first cuddle, shown above!
