We have had a tidy up. Over the last few days Mia and I have lived in chaos, boxes and rubbish bags everywhere. I reorganised the art room, cleared out a couple of drawers in my bedroom and Mia filled six bags to deposit either at the tip or the local charity book shop.

We still have quite a bit to do, we need to save up for a new bed for her (she is about 5'9" tall now) and redecorate her room but we are getting there.

Tonight was rather peaceful, I am finishing reading The Cider House Rules and was pleased to notice this bird on my standard lamp. A really lovely Twitter friend sent it me from Australia, I think it's utterly beautiful.

Pleased it made its journey safely.
