Bloody Long Day

Saturday, first full day for a week when all four of us have been home together and Clare was on shift and I had to go in to work so the children were on their own until mid afternoon.
In a previous life we had a 'motto', the Six P's;
Proper
Planning
Prevents
P**s
Poor
Performance
However due to a lack of P2 I spent almost 11 hours of today working bloody hard and supervising contractors. I was so tired by 7:00pm that I took my eleven year old son in to help me take down the scaffolding and lock up. The 'Blip Foto' is of him in front of some of the equipment and under the clock showing the time.
On the bright side we have a working oven and hob so we are getting back to normal - slowly, the installation should be completed this week, it will be the finishing touches to do then.
We have treated ourselves to £180 worth of saucepans, seems a shame to get them dirty though!!
