Right bank, left bank

Thonburi is the part of Bangkok, which spreads on the right bank of the Chao Phraya River. After the destruction of Ayutthaya by the Burmese, King Taksin founded his new capital there. When he died, King Rama I transferred the capital across the river in what is now the old city of Bangkok.
But Thonburi has kept many historical sites and a layback atmosphere. I like going there on foot because I feel like it is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It has kept its countryside atmosphere.
Today's blip shows a Khlong (canal). It looks nice because of the angle and the light. But if you look closely, there is garbage floating on the water turning it into a sewer. And on the right side, there is all the glitter of a magnificent Thai temple, whereas on the left side you can see the houses where people live.
Appearance and reality. This was a major Shakespearian theme, wasn't it?
