John Bush Lane
On Bangkok riverside, in what used to be the old colonial trading center, there is a street known as John Bush Lane.
This is where the old Portuguese embassy is located, celebrating 500 years of history with Thailand. But this street is named after a British Navy officer, who once commanded the Royal Siamese fleet. He lived in this mansion. For many years, the building had been standing there forgotten (see the extra photo shot in April 2013). A few months ago, I noticed that they were restoring this mansion. Today, I went back and here is what it now looks like!
