Has Spring Sprung?

Had planned a long lie in this morning, intending to start a new book, but the weather was too lovely to stay in bed so just had a little lie in instead.

Had a battle with Alan at lunch time.  He  is very good at taking his medicine normally but he's not a fan of antibiotics so, after spending half an hour trying every logical argument to persuade him to take his amoxicillin, my tether's end was looming into view.  

Then I had a eureka moment!.   

He loves having his ears cleaned so I got a cotton bud, held it in front of him and said, "take your medicine and I'll tickle your ears."   Think Aladdin's cave and Open Sesame and you have an idea of what he did with his mouth.  Meds taken in a blink.   Honestly!  The things you have to do!  *rolls eyes*

Short run in the car with D this afternoon via the driving range, which was just about to close (you can imagine how happy he was about that) then to try out a new car wash in Crieff (oh the excitement.  Yawn) before taking the scenic route home (actually they're all scenic :-))

Now just got time for a quick coffee before our friends Keith and Mhairi arrive.  Heading out to dinner with them and really looking forward to catching up as not seen them for ages.
