this is Arkte - one of our 6 Sunbears...... I went up to visit the bears at lunch time and it was crazy hot and not a bear in sight - everyone in shady dens under the fans....
but then Arkte came outside and started mooching around... ironically her name used to be Summer (we name all the bears when they are rescued but eventually they are renamed by sponsors - another way we raise money for their rescue and upkeep)
Tonight I watched Sandra the gecko catch and eat what looked like a baby gecko..... nice eh?
